About me

Technical roots, operational instincts.

  1. Where I started

I began in 2006 as a Microsoft Dynamics AX consultant in India, working on an ERP implementation for an FMCG business — data migration, module integration, security, user training, go-live support and year-end.

It was hands-on technical work, and it taught me early that an ERP isn’t software sitting on the side of a business. It is how the business runs.

  2. How my responsibilities grew

Freelance consulting in Canada took me across food, automotive and healthcare clients, working directly with the people who used the systems — from requirements and design through to UAT, emergency fixes and data correction.

At Zylog I led Dynamics AX 2012 delivery for an Oil & Gas solution: clarifying requirements, running gap analysis and estimation, reviewing designs and mentoring the team.

  3. What I do today

I joined Westland in April 2016 as AX Technical Analyst and have led the Business Applications team since January 2021. I led the team through the replacement of Dynamics AX with Oracle E-Business Suite and Scale WMS, which went live in July 2024 ahead of plan.

Today I’m the Digital subject-matter expert for ERP and WMS processes across Yili Oceania group businesses — Westland, ODL, Canary and Pure Nutrition — and a key business and Digital lead on the MultiPick WMS replacement.

  4. What motivates me

The work I find most satisfying is when a recurring problem stops recurring. I would rather find the cause, change the design or the process, and make sure it holds, than fix the same thing every week.

My strength is combining technical understanding with business and operational knowledge. I can follow a stock movement from the warehouse floor into the ledger, explain what went wrong in plain language, and then work out what needs to change in the system, the process or both.

Transformation Stories

Real programmes and real problems — what the business needed, what I did, and what changed as a result.

Systems don’t work alone.

ERP sits at the centre of a web of warehouse, quality, manufacturing, documentation and logistics systems. Most of the problems I solve live in the connections between them — and in the business processes they support.

    ERP & WMS transformation · 2023 – 2024

Replacing the ERP and warehouse backbone

    Business context

Westland ran its core operations on Microsoft Dynamics AX. The business replaced it with Oracle E-Business Suite for ERP and Scale for warehouse management, with a cut-over window from late June to early July 2024.

    Challenge

Swap the systems behind finance, supply chain, manufacturing and warehousing without disrupting a working dairy operation — including stock transfers with an external logistics partner.

    My role

Led the business applications team through the programme, working closely with the IS project manager. [Confirm your specific responsibilities: requirements, design, testing, data migration, cut-over, post-go-live support]

    What I did

    • Raised risks early and suggested improvements throughout the programme.
    • Wrote the design document for 3PL-to-Westland stock transfers (October 2023).
    • In the follow-on phase, tested and troubleshot the 3PL interface with Scale WMS, working with the 3PL partner and the ERP implementation partner to find and fix field-mapping errors before it went live (December 2024).

    Systems involved

    • Microsoft Dynamics AX
    • Oracle E-Business Suite
    • Scale WMS
    • 3PL interface

    Outcome & business impact

    • Oracle EBS and Scale WMS went live in July 2024, ahead of plan.
    • 3PL interface mapping errors found and fixed before go-live, not after.
  • Group ERP & WMS rollout · 2025 – 2026

Bringing Canary on board — without breaking Westland

    Business context

Canary (YOBD), part of the Yili Oceania group, went through an ERP and WMS rollout that touched systems Westland depends on every day.

    Challenge

Deliver the rollout without disrupting Westland’s live operations, and make sure the interfaces still worked properly once Canary was running.

    My role

Key Digital contributor on the rollout. [Confirm: Digital lead, or one of several leads]

    What I did

    • Set up the project team space and shared the solution blueprint.
    • Before go-live, found a critical risk: Canary files were pointing to the Westland production system.
    • Recommended full regression testing to my manager, then led the team in writing regression test scripts and running the testing.
    • After the rollout, found operating-unit design issues affecting the CRM and S&OP interfaces, and proposed fixes for both.
    • Named by my manager to help lead the process and system analysis for moving butter production to Canary.

    Systems involved

    • Oracle E-Business Suite
    • WMS
    • CRM
    • S&OP

    Outcome & business impact

    • The Canary rollout went ahead without disrupting Westland operations.
    • Interface design issues surfaced early, each with a proposed fix.

    Systems: MultiPick WMS · Oracle E-Business Suite · ProDoc · 3PL integration

    WMS transformation · 2026

Getting the warehouse ready for MultiPick

    Business context

The business is replacing its warehouse management system with MultiPick, working with the ERP implementation partner and the MultiPick vendor.

    Challenge

A WMS touches almost everything — sales orders, inventory, purchasing, quality and export documentation. Gaps missed in design turn into operational problems after go-live.

    My role

Key business and Digital lead, and the main link between the business, the ERP implementation partner and the MultiPick vendor to get the business ready for the rollout.

    What I did

    • Ran gap analysis across Sales, Inventory, Purchasing, Warehouse, Quality and Documentation.
    • Ran design workshops on sales orders, OMAR, 3PL and ProDoc.
    • Flagged early risks in Oracle-to-warehouse mapping, multi-warehouse PO receiving and the ProDoc integration.
    • Challenged the vendor’s development plan to clarify what UAT covered and whether interfaces were in scope.

    Systems involved

    • MultiPick WMS
    • Oracle E-Business Suite
    • ProDoc
    • 3PL integration

    Outcome & business impact

    • Process, integration and control gaps identified during design rather than after go-live.
    • Test coverage protected by getting UAT and interface scope clarified up front.
    • [Add go-live date and outcome once delivered]

    CRM transformation · [Confirm date]

Testing CRM end to end before users did

    Business context

As part of a CRM transformation, data needed to flow correctly from the CRM platform through the integration into Oracle EBS.

    Challenge

Defects found in business UAT cost time and confidence. The end-to-end flow had to be right before business users started testing.

    My role

Tested the solution end to end, from CRM through to Oracle EBS.

    What I did

    • Performed end-to-end testing from CRM through the integration into Oracle EBS.
    • Validated the data mapping between the two systems.
    • Identified critical defects and data-mapping gaps and raised them before UAT.
    • Later, found operating-unit design issues affecting the CRM interface after the Canary rollout, and proposed a fix.

    Supply chain controls & traceability · 2026

One product, several days, four systems

    Business context

A new export product made across multiple days raised a traceability question that spanned ODL, Scale, Oracle and ProDoc — and several teams who each owned part of the answer.

    Challenge

Bring Quality, ODL, Warehouse and Documentation to a decision without compromising traceability, audit, data integrity or revenue recognition.

    My role

Led the cross-company problem solving as the Digital subject-matter expert.

    What I did

    • Mapped the traceability, audit, data and revenue-recognition risks across ODL, Scale, Oracle and ProDoc.
    • Set out five options for Quality, ODL, Warehouse and Documentation to decide between.
    • Closed a related quality-control gap: stock made by ODL was being received as available before quality release. Defined new receiving rules with Quality, Supply Chain and Operations.
    • Designed corrected net and gross weight logic for export documents in ProDoc, and tested it in UAT before it went to production.
    • Identified automation opportunities in the ODL-to-Westland intercompany process, and proposed Power BI reporting to replace spreadsheet tracking.

    Systems involved

    • Scale WMS
    • Oracle E-Business Suite
    • ProDoc
    • Power BI

    Outcome & business impact

    • Teams across two companies given clear, risk-assessed options instead of an open-ended problem.
    • Quality-release gap closed with new receiving rules.
    • Corrected export-document weights tested in UAT before reaching production.
    • Automation opportunities identified that could save significant manual effort each month.
  • Problem management & operational reliability

    Problem management & operational reliability · 2024 – 2026

    From firefighting to root cause

    Business context

With Oracle EBS, Scale WMS and their interfaces running core operations, recurring problems were showing up as tickets that were fixed, closed — and raised again.

    Challenge

Move from closing tickets to removing causes, while protecting month-end close and day-to-day warehouse operations.

    My role

Led investigations, vendor escalations and improvements to the team’s incident and problem management practice.

    What I did

    • Led the investigation of a major Scale incident where a vendor fix created duplicate transfer receipts across three warehouses. Challenged the vendor’s testing and drove a deeper root-cause analysis, data correction and business communication.
    • Escalated a pattern of recurring Scale defects to the WMS vendor and pressed for a lasting fix, including fast-tracking a production fix for urgent report failures.
    • Started twice-weekly proactive monitoring of inventory stuck in staging, fixing issues before users were affected.
    • Traced repeated interface failures back to phantom inventory records, and proposed automating how they are detected and corrected.
    • Investigated COGS and DCOGS discrepancies with Finance and the ERP implementation partner, and found that sales reporting used the planned ship date instead of the actual one.
    • Analysed recurring PO receipt mismatches between Scale and Oracle, and proposed Power BI visibility to reduce support demand.
    • Improved knowledge, incident and problem management in ManageEngine.

    Systems involved

    • Scale WMS
    • Oracle E-Business Suite
    • Interfaces
    • Power BI
    • ManageEngine

    Outcome & business impact

    • Fewer recurring staging tickets through proactive monitoring.
    • Month-end close protected by finding the cause of COGS and DCOGS discrepancies.
    • Team practice shifted from closing tickets to fixing root causes.
    • [Add measured outcome, e.g. ticket reduction or automation go-live]

How I work

Five habits, one loop.

The approach I bring to every request, project and incident — and the reason the same problems don’t keep coming back.

  1. Step 1

    Understand

Understand the business problem, not just the system request.

In practice: Traced repeated interface failures back to phantom inventory records.

  2. Step 2

    Connect

Connect processes, people, data and technology.

In practice: Brought Quality, ODL, Warehouse and Documentation to one decision.

  3. Step 3

    Challenge

Question assumptions and identify gaps before they become production problems.

In practice: Questioned a WMS vendor plan until UAT and interface scope were clear.

  4. Step 4

    Deliver

Turn requirements into practical, reliable solutions.

In practice: Wrote and ran regression scripts so the Canary rollout didn’t disrupt Westland.

  5. Step 5

    Improve

Learn from incidents and operational feedback and continually improve the solution.

In practice: Turned recurring staging tickets into twice-weekly proactive monitoring.
